The program was established to teach young people the "ins and outs" of the refinishing business. 5 furniture finishing businesses took on 3 students. Then, the businesses involved ask for unwanted wooden furniture. The students are then taught how to restore the furniture into saleable items. The finished product is auctioned off and the money raised is donated to various charities in the community. The News Advertiser ran this idea in the February 5th, 2006 edition.
The furniture will be sold on April 27, 2007 between 2 pm and 9 pm.at the Word Of Truth Community Center located Bayly Between Liverpool and Brock Rd in Pickering. We will also be holding an open house at the sale to promote the Youth Challenge Program and the Word of Truth Community Center. All are welcome! Please contact the Word of Truth Community Center for more information.

Cameron will be using the money and will try to double it at a charity basketball game at Word of Truth Church on Bayly at the end of May to create awareness of the "at risk youth" programs which introduced him to the workshop.
Kyle will take the profits from the auction and try to double them at a BBQ he is hosting in support of husband abuse.
